About this Project
Courageous Conversations
The approach to the courageous conversation is for an initial discussion to take place within the authority and with partners to agree an area of focus. The courageous conversation team is then assembled, and is provided with a range of written background information relevant to the focus.
A bespoke approach is taken depending on the area of focus; it includes a full day onsite, feedback and a full report. A golden thread of co-production throughout this is invaluable to gain a wider picture (where appropriate).
The overall approach is a strengths-based one, where we aim to identify positive actions that the authority and its partners can consider in order to improve outcomes for children and young people.
The aim is for all local authorities and their partners in the Eastern Region to participate in a courageous conversation this year.
