SEND

Supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities to achieve good outcomes and be prepared for adulthood is an Eastern Region priority.

SEND

The SEND regional priority is sponsored by Michael Marks, the Director of Children’s Services in Southend.  The Eastern Region SEND network has a development plan that provides a programme of activity to support improvement and share best practice across the region.

Courageous Conversations

The SEND network has extended its offer to provide an opportunity for LAs to host a ‘Courageous Conversation’ which offers peer challenge and support for local areas (SEND Partnerships) to help them prepare for (or follow up from) annual engagement meetings and/or inspection.
