Voices of the East

The aim of this project is for every child to have their voice heard to shape their future and the future of others.

About this Project

Voices of the East is an exciting new network funded through the East of England SEND network designed to bring young people together from across the region. Through the work of the MSC we have been asked to lead this network and are delighted to be working with young people & professionals from across Essex, Southend, Thurrock, Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Luton, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire & Central Bedfordshire.

This network is open to all young people with SEND between the ages of 5 & 25 which includes virtual meetings and in person opportunities. Meetings are held every couple of months and at different times so young people in and outside of school can join us. The agenda’s are determined by what young people tell us is important and we look to spread awareness of this across the region and to leads of service so that they can know what is important to young people.

If you are young person, teacher, parent or professional and want to get involved please email kierran.pearce@essex.gov.uk
